Aerotek Assembler in Belton, Missouri

Assembly, Machine Operator, and Welding Openings 18-20/HR

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret blueprints and standard work instructions (SWI’s).

  • Ability to read and use a tape measure.

  • Use a variety of other powered hand tools, stapler, rivets gun(s), drills, etc.

  • Inspect and test, parts and products, as necessary, during or after assembly to quality standards.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, maintain all equipment according to maintenance plans.

  • Perform saw or mill operations.

  • Assemble parts and sub-assemblies.

  • Routine daily equipment maintenance.

  • Prepare product for shipment.

Skills:

Assembly, Hand tool, Production, Blueprint, Mechanical, Mechanical assembly, Power tool, Assembling, Hand and power tools

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • 6 months of hands-on experience in a manufacturing facility, small part assembly preferred.

  • Ability to work overtime and weekends, as needed.

  • Reliable and dependable attendance.

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in written form with supervisors and co-workers

  • Mechanical aptitude preferred.

  • Physical requirements include frequent reaching, gripping and carrying up to 50 lbs., plus frequent standing, stooping, bending, squatting, and walking.

  • Working environment is an unheated and non air conditioned manufacturing/warehouse setting.

  • Safety glasses with side shields are required in the manufacturing environment.

  • Frequent reaching, gripping and carrying up to 50 lbs., plus standing, stooping, bending, stretching, squatting and walking.

  • Must handle multiple tasks and perform effectively in a fast paced, high stress work environment.
