Aerotek Maintenance Mechanic in Beltsville, Maryland

Description:

Preventative maintenance on motors, pneumatic systems, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.

Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.

Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.

Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.

Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.

Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.

Shift:

Two shifts available -

would like a more experienced person on 2nd shift Monday - Friday 3p - 11:30pm and

entry level candidate on 3rd shift Sunday - Thursday 11pm - 7:30am

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

3-5 years of experience working on Conveyors, belts, motors, sprockets • Hold a current driver’s license.

• Able to complete welding and fabrication tasks that include reading prints, drawings, complete

measurements, tolerances, and fusion of all genres of metal.

• Able to diagnose and repair single, and three phase electrical systems.

• Able to diagnose and repair electrical control systems.

• Able to diagnose and repair hydraulic systems.

• Able to diagnose and repair pneumatic systems, including air compressors.
