What you’ll achieve

As a consultant , you will provide technical and consultative guidance for solutions opportunities on a range of complex engagements and deliver technical architectural design, strategies and solutions for engagements.

Consulting Project Manager leads diverse multi-disciplined teams to deliver Dell Tech.’s transformational solutions to Enterprise Customers; can be counted on to execute successfully; is bottom-line oriented; steadfastly pushes self and others for results. He/She is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of customers; gets first hand customer information and uses it for improvements in products and services; making customers and their needs a paramount focus of engagement actions; takes ownership and is committed; establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead team during project lifecycle; provide project management, leadership and oversight to project and/or work streams. Provide performance feedback to management and team members.

• Prepares detailed project plans of an engagement within the standards of project management methodologies. Reviews and validates statement of work (SOW).

• Prepare risk and remediation plan. Responsible for creating one team approach, goals and milestones within a project to ensure Dell Tech.'s commitments to the customer are achieved. Adheres to established standards, processes, and methods to produce solutions that conform to requirements. Strives for, maintains, and further develops excellence in processes and services.

• Establishes project governance. Responsible for the delivery and daily management of activities, which are coordinated with Dell Tech. employees or Partner Resources. Works with Resource Management on project staffing. Accountable for delivering projects on time, within budget and to the satisfaction of the customer and sales. Holds responsibility for achieving the Dell Tech. Bar of Excellence as the highest level of Customer Satisfaction.

• Controls the financial compliance. Completes weekly and quarterly forecasts of revenue and utilization. Prepares estimated time to complete, manages back-log.

Essential Requirements:

• 7+ years’ work experience in Transformation/program management and managing large/mid-sized information technology projects through Agile and/or Waterfall.

• Strong experience in managing Consulting project thorough Agile delivery experience as practitioner/coach, exposure to New Areas viz Gen AI,Telco/Edge, Cybersecurity

• Exceptional project management skills within matrix environment and a solid foundation in business process management, tool-based project management and optimization – excellent understanding of the core competencies: scope, estimate, time, budget, risk, quality, integration, resource management, and communications

• Strong industry knowledge of project management principles, but with a demonstrated ability to adapt approaches.

• Experience writing RFPs for large projects, experience in PM Tools such as JIRA, MS project, Rally.

Desirable Requirements:

• Good understanding of latest technology trends and ecosystems such as Cloud Native, Big Data, DevOps etc.

• Project management certifications (PMI, Agile, SCRUM, SAFE)
