Job Description Summary

As a SAP FICO Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing and guiding the SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO) team, ensuring the successful delivery of projects with a particular focus on the upcoming SAP S/4HANA migration.

In this role you will be driving the design, architecture, and implementation of SAP FICO solutions, collaborating closely with business stakeholders and other SAP module leads to ensure seamless financial operations and integration.

You will also play a key role in shaping strategic initiatives and improving financial processes across the organization.

Job Description

In this role, you will:

• Lead the SAP S/4HANA migration project from SAP FICO perspective. Assess the impact of the migration on existing FI processes and data structures, and ensure the system is ready for the transition,

• Work in lead architect role for SAP Finance and Controlling modules securing project deliverables completeness and quality, especially:

1) Scope management,​

2) Solution design/blueprinting,

3) Documentation, testing, release, and training,

4) Any change which requires re-design or major shift in approach.

• Lead and mentor the SAP FICO team, providing guidance, training, and performance management,

• Prioritize and manage the team's workload to ensure timely project completion and seamless delivery,

• Act as a Lead Architect for SAP Finance and Controlling modules and coordinate with other SAP module leaders (e.g., SD, MM, PP) to ensure seamless integration of financial and controlling processes,

• Act as the main point of contact for business stakeholders regarding SAP FICO-related activities; Partner with the business to develop business case/ROI for implementing SAP strategic initiatives.

• Identify the budget requirements, resource requirements and provide the high plan for strategic initiatives,

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP FICO viable solutions,

• Work closely with Finance teams to identify areas for process improvements and optimizations,

• Keep abreast of SAP updates, developments, and best practices in FICO modules.

• Build strong working relationships with solution architects, projects managers, business analysts and key business stakeholders on architectural soundness and technical feasibility of proposed solutions,

• Collaborate with SAP DevOps Lead and other members of SAP DevOps leadership on developing phasing strategy, resource plans, benefits case, org structures, risks and issues,

• Participate steering committees, project-based teams and other governance bodies pertaining to the development of SAP platform across PDx organization, especially larger/strategic projects.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) or equivalent relevant qualification/experience,

• Extensive, proven, hands-on experience with SAP FICO modules,

• Experience with SAP implementation and/or roll-out projects,

• Proven track record of leading SAP FICO teams and delivering complex projects,

• Experience in SAP S/4HANA migration is a plus,

• Strong business analysis, problem solving, and strategy development skills,

• Ability to organize, motivate and co-ordinate diverse groups in complex situations providing confidence on direction and way forward,

• Strong understanding of SAP FICO configuration and customization,

• Proficiency in SAP modules such as General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Controlling (CO),

• Deep understanding of business processes as well as good knowledge of technical issues in the area of financial modules

• Experience in FI integration points with other SAP modules: MM, SD & PP,

• Knowledge of various integration methods between SAP and external systems,

• Knowledge of global SAP ERP system deployment methodology in regulated industry context (pharmaceutical industry preferred).
