Job Description

Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.

About the team:

Oracle Aconex provides a leading cloud collaboration platform for the global construction industry. Aconex is the most widely used online collaboration platform in the world for construction, infrastructure, and energy and resources projects. Our product line is part of the Construction and Engineering Global Business Unit (CEGBU) of Oracle, a world leader in project and portfolio management software.

What you will do:

• Be a core member of a development team, and participate in a daily scrum and other agile rituals.

• Design and implement new features for SaaS-based systems.

• Learn and apply new technologies to core application development.

• Identify and solve technology-related bottlenecks and provide enhancements to the existing code base.

• Develop unit test using JUnit to improve the overall quality of delivered features.

• Collaborate with product managers, co-developers, and other stakeholders to understand the requirements for user stories/backlog items.

• Perform code reviews and mentor other engineers.

• Most importantly, have fun & good time building Aconex Cloud applications that give the best user experience for our customers.

What you've done:

• 4+ years Java experience (1.8+)

• 4+ relational DB (Postgres or Oracle) with experience using Hibernate/JPA

• 4+ years REST APIs

• 2+ years with modern JS framework (Angular, React, Vue, etc.)

• 2 + years HTML/CSS/SASS or LESS and Git

• Experience with Unix/Linux based systems

• Containerization (Docker etc.)

• Jenkins, Bamboo, or other CI automation tools

• Front end build tools (NPM and Webpack preferable)

It would be awesome if you also had:

• Dropwizard, Springboot, or similar application framework

• Web Sockets

• Hazelcast

• Terraform or Ansible

• Hashicorp Vault

• Experience with security compliance (OWASP, etc.)
