Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall program management of the Acute Care Data Platform, including planning, scheduling, monitoring, and controlling all aspects of the initiative.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality assurance, regulatory, marketing, finance and other stakeholders, to drive the successful delivery of the platform.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards related to developing digital products at GEHC and in the healthcare industry, such as FDA regulations for Software as a Medical Device (SaMD).

  • Develop and maintain program plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to meet platform goals and deliverables.

  • Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies that may impact the platform delivery timeline and quality.

  • Communicate progress, challenges, and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders on a regular basis.

  • Includes direct people management responsibility including staffing and performance development.

  • Mentor and guide junior program managers or project team members to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the program.

  • Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration).

  • Proven experience managing modern cloud-based software development projects, particularly in the healthcare industry and with SaMD products.

  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements for medical devices (e.g., FDA regulations, ISO standards) and experience navigating regulatory processes.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills to effectively coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a focus on innovation and quality.

  • 5 or more years relevant engineering work experience in a medical device field in a product development or installed based support role or equivalent.

Desired Qualifications

  • Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are desirable.

  • Working knowledge of Agile Scrum and SaFE

  • Experience with Data and AI initiatives
