Google Technical Lead, ASIC IP and Subsystem Design, Silicon in Bengaluru, India

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 8 years of experience in ASIC design.

  • Experience in RTL development with Verilog/SystemVerilog.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD degree in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field.

  • Experience in High performance design, Multi power domains with complex clocking and multiple SoCs with silicon success.

  • Understanding of computer architecture including industry standard interfaces and memory subsystems.

  • Proficient with micro architecture design and good knowledge of system design to develop highly optimized IPs with excellent PPA.

As a Hardware Engineer, you design and build the systems that are the heart of the world's largest and most powerful computing infrastructure. You develop from the lowest levels of circuit design to large system design and see those systems all the way through to high volume manufacturing. Your work has the potential to shape the machinery that goes into our cutting-edge data centers affecting millions of Google users.

With your technical expertise, you lead projects in multiple areas of expertise (i.e., engineering domains or systems) within a data center facility, including construction and equipment installation/troubleshooting/debugging with vendors.

  • Work on a team of RTL engineers with IP/Subsystem development: plan tasks, hold code and design reviews, code development of complex features in the IP/Subsystem.

  • Interact closely with architecture team and develop implementation (microarchitecture & coding) strategies to meet quality, schedule and PPA for the IP

  • Work closely with the cross-functional team of Verification, Design for Test, Physical Design and Software teams to make design decisions and represent project status throughout the development process.
