Polisher/Grinder - Bensenville, IL

$18-$22/hr

7am-3pm (plus OT) Monday-Friday

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced candidate who has performed grinding and polishing on very thin stainless steel. You will be responsible for grinding down parts and polishing them for the finishing touch. Experience with stainless steel is a huge plus. You will work next to welders and use a hand grinder, polisher, various hand tools, and micrometers to finish the welds. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and being comfortable standing or moving around during the day. During downtime, you may assist welders with cutting materials or running a shear press.

Work Environment

You will work in a temperature-controlled shop floor divided into different sections: welding, fabrication and machining, quality, and inspection. You will be in a cell layout at your own station next to the welding and fabrication teams.
