This role in summary

Whirlpool Corporation is looking for an Investor Relations Administrative Assistant to support the Investor Relations function (IR).

This position must sit on-site at our Global Headquarters in Southwest Michigan.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Contribute to creating and maintaining an engaging and efficient work environment, ensuring high levels of organizational effectiveness while implementing and improving IR procedures and process documentation.

  • Coordinates meeting logistics with Whirlpool C-Suite, the IR team, and the investment community.

  • General administrative support, including managing schedules, calendars and travel arrangements. Coordinating and preparing internal and external meetings, presentations, teleconferences, video conferences, etc.

  • Collaborates with C-Suite and C-Suite executive assistants to proactively resolve issues while helping develop and implement best practices.

  • Anticipates and proactively addresses IR operational challenges and provides potential solutions.

  • Develop a strong knowledge of overall WHR business IR priorities, and investor community relationships, enabling autonomous decision-making and exercising independent judgment.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships and communication effectiveness with investors, analysts and other stakeholders along with documenting investor feedback.

  • Work with confidential information requiring sensitivity while executing other duties.

  • Assist in the creation and updating of investor relations materials, such as trip notes, investor profiles, fact sheets, etc.

  • Monitor and analyze financial news and reports to provide timely updates to the team.

  • Monthly/annual IR budget development and updates, invoice processing, and expense reporting.

Minimum requirements

  • High School diploma or GED

  • 2+ years of Administrative or Finance experience supporting senior leaders and executives

Preferred skills and experiences

  • Experience supporting an Investor Relations Function

  • Experience with Google Suite or Microsoft Office

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and strong attention to detail

  • Know-how, and interpersonal skills to engage efficiently and effectively on topics of relevance with all levels of internal management and colleagues and outside collaborators

  • Strong decision-making abilities and skilled at promoting process improvement

  • Willingness and ability to take initiative, anticipate issues, and offer solutions

  • Strong organizational skills and practices to consistently, reliably, and independently follow through with limited supervision

  • Ability to be detail-oriented

  • Judgment to identify and prioritize team deliverables

  • Experience working in a dynamic and fast paced environment by organizing and prioritizing work proactively and managing multiple priorities simultaneously

  • Experience meeting deadlines independently and under pressure
