Director, US Ethics, Global Ethics and Compliance

Our US Ethics team within Global Ethics is committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity. We need experts to ensure our stores follow all laws and regulations and operate according to our high ethical standards. As Director, US Ethics , you'll be an integral member of our team responsible for overseeing the US Ethics program, managing a team of associates and evaluating high-risk violations of Walmart's Code of Conduct.

What you'll do....

  • Support the Group Director, US Ethics, in overseeing the operation of the ethics program in the US market

  • Lead a team of associates responsible for handling high-volume ethics matters in the US in violation of our Code of Conduct, including managing investigations from assignment to closure, making findings of facts to determine investigative outcomes, and providing accountability and remediation recommendations

  • Collaborate with Global Ethics associates, legal counsel, investigators, and other stakeholders to establish, maintain, and continuously evaluate ethics allegations, case management best practices, risk identification, and mitigation strategies

  • Draft concise, accurate and complete executive-level summaries of investigations that provide key information and a coherent understanding of the issues, findings, and outcome

  • Leverage data, metrics, and analytics to proactively identify emerging risks and trends, refine our use of data to evaluate risks, and produce action plans to drive excellence

  • Collaborate and provide ethics reporting, insights and training to stakeholders and business partners, to communicate risks, resolve process gaps, and improve the associate experience

What you'll bring....

  • Experience in leading a team - whether through direct reports or cross-functionally

  • Experience in handling violations of our Code of Conduct or proven track record in directing or conduct investigations, including handling multiple cases while achieving results

  • Exceptional judgment and the ability to understand and present significant matters in a concise, coherent manner to key stakeholders

  • Comfort with ambiguity and making findings of fact, capable of interfacing with Walmart's business platforms to present investigative findings and identified risks

  • Strong experience in the legal or human resources fields with experience in interpreting and applying statutory language

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor's degree in Business, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field and 5 years' experience in human resources, ethics and compliance, corporate communications, or related area OR 7 years' experience in human resources, ethics and compliance, corporate communications, or related area.

2 years' supervisory experience.
