What you'll do...

About Team:

Our team works closely with our US stores and eCommerce business to better serve customers by empowering team members, stores, and merchants with technological innovation. From groceries and entertainment to sporting goods and crafts, Walmart U.S. offers an extensive selection that our customers value, whether they shop online at Walmart.com, through one of our mobile apps, or in-store. Focus areas include customers, stores and employees, in-store service, merchant tools, merchant data science, and search and personalization.

  • This is a DevOPS role supporting Store Systems Area. It involves building and using DevOps tools and technologies supporting the Engineering teams.

  • Work involves building automation tools. Building Ci/CD pipelines, deployments in Cloud and on-prem environments and provide production support for Dev Teams.

  • Support Dev Teams in App deployments monitoring and Alerting using DevOps Tools.

  • Provide input to design and deployment of the application.

  • Identify gaps and issues and reduce costs for application platforms.

  • Provide Holiday Support.

What you'll do:

  • Understand DevOps Industry best practices.

  • Help teams to build highly Observable and Resilient systems.

  • Collaborate with developers to capture requirements and understanding pain points.

  • Build reusable tools, library, dashboards which can be used across DevOps/SRE teams.

  • Create new self-service solutions in order to push the boundaries of our automation capabilities.

  • Generate proper designs, documentation and present to stakeholders.

  • Using Agile methods [Scrum/Kanban] to organize project deliverables, to track and report progress.

  • Support operations, meeting reliability and capacity requirements.

  • Participate in rotating on-call duties and work across different time zone with a multi-national team.

  • Responsible for timely root cause analysis [RCA] of production issues.

  • Develop reusable tooling and processes to drive and improve customer experience and lower operational costs.

  • Play a key role in driving the product roadmap, sprint planning, stand-ups.

  • Drive quarterly objectives to completion [OKRs].

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.

  • 3-7 years of hands-on related DevOps & Development experience.

  • Strong experience with development in any one these languages (Python/Go/Java).

  • Experience building tools/dashboards as full stack developer.

  • Experience in Microsoft Azure cloud platform preferred (AWS/GCP also OK).

  • Expertise in tools such as Terraform, Jenkins, Ansible/Chef/Puppet etc.

  • Strong knowledge on GIT.

  • Strong experience in at least one of the following programming languages: Bash/Python/Go.

  • Strong working experience with containers and orchestration technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, Service Mesh like Istio, etc.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Configuration Management and Deployment tools automation.

  • Good Experience with networking concepts and protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, Telnet, SSH, Firewall, VPN, Routing and Load Balancing).

  • Good Experience with Linux and open source software.

  • Experience with Monitoring solutions like Prometheus, Grafana etc.

  • Experience with logging solutions like Splunk, ELK etc.

  • Experience with code-quality and automated testing (Sonar, JUnit, Selenium or similar).

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
