GRF CPAs & Advisors Learning and Development Coordinator in Bethesda, Maryland

Summary of Responsibilities:

The Learning & Development Coordinator responsibilities includes participating in initiatives focused on improving the productivity and performance of firm personnel through support of GRF’s Learning and Development Strategy. In this position, the coordinator will assist with assessing developmental needs and collaborating with the L&D Director to create strategic and operational training solutions. The coordinator will support Learning and Development Programs which will include, but are not limited to, full-day in-person, virtual seminars and workshops, online learning modules and one-on-one coaching sessions. The L&D coordinator will be responsible for maintaining GRFs LMS (Learning Management System) and creating department compliance reports on at least a quarterly basis.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist with developing firm training and development programs and objectives.

  • Work with Director of Learning & Development and stakeholders to create onboarding programs and materials to quickly get new hires up to speed on department standards and procedures.

  • Based on coaches/managers assessments on individuals' current level of competency, skills, or knowledge, assist with the developing of learning solutions to address identified knowledge gaps and performance deficiencies.

  • As requested by Director of Learning & Development, work with department heads and/or managers to create, rollout and/or track participation in department coaching and technical training programs as needed; this includes issuing evaluations and CPE certificates for those accredited programs.

  • As requested by the Director of Learning & Development facilitate training programs, train and coach managers and others involved in executing development curricula.

  • Coordination and facilitation of in-house training as needed; in-person as well as virtual.

  • Monitor and track compliance in firm Learning Management System (LMS).

  • Create quarterly compliance reports to track compliance with the In-firm CPE requirement to share with department heads.

  • Follow up with professionals that are not on track for meeting the In-firm CPE requirement.

  • Work with Director of Learning and Development to coordinate and implement external training both department specific and firmwide.

  • Assists the Director of L&D with the planning and coordinating of Annual Partner Manager Retreat.

  • Champion for learning management system (LMS).

  • Coordinates firm training calendar.

  • Exemplifies GRF culture and philosophies.

  • Builds relationships and collaborates with stakeholders to create and deliver program content.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting preferred, from accredited college or university required.

  • At least 5 years of experience designing and implementing employee development programs.

  • Knowledge of principles of Instructional Design, Adult Learning and eLearning design required.

  • Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.

  • Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.

  • Ability to design and implement effective training and development programs.

  • Excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and coaching skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
