Monday through Friday   6:00PM - 2:30AM (Hours are subject to change due to business needs, PM, mechanical breakdowns, etc. Must be flexible)

Summary

Work in a team or autonomously to complete work orders and provide maintenance support in a high-speed manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine and major machine maintenance and repairs as well as performing line/machine maintenance and preventative maintenance.  Diagnoses machine functions and perform/program electrical/electronic operations. Ensures Vertique system is operating at designated line rates to provide and exceed expected efficiencies.
  • Setup, troubleshoot, and develop improvements to the Vertique system.
  • Analyze the equipment, machine error messages, and information obtained from operators in order to diagnose equipment problems. Monitor all line and equipment during loading so we operate at peak efficiencies. 
  • Investigate and evaluate all breakdowns to determine root cause analysis; trouble shoot and repair immediately.
  • Efficiently operate each piece of equipment associated with the system and ability to perform all job aspects that are related to the Vertique system to drive process improvements and enhance productivity.
  • Clean, lubricate, adjust parts, and maintain the operating condition of the Vertique system and equipment.
  • Cut and weld metal to repair broken parts, fabricate new parts, and assemble new equipment.

Responsibilities

  • General maintenance duties including but not limited to: work order generation and execution, spare parts ordering or requisition creation, machine performance and condition, preventative maintenance, parts specifications, spare parts inventory, building maintenance, equipment maintenance, equipment installation, planning shutdown, etc.
  • Perform basic and major mechanical functions associated with plant equipment.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical problems. 
  • Work with all maintenance and warehouse personnel to maintain a preventive maintenance program.
  • Work with other supervisors to coordinate maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures.  Adhere to safety regulations (lock out/tag out, etc.).
  • Complete all paperwork necessary to maintain accurate records.
  • Maintain quality standards. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Trade school experience required; 5 - 7 yr.'s related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education & exp.
  • Experience in working with PLC's, motor controllers, and PC based machine control systems.        
  • Electronic experience including high voltage, 3-phase.  Industrial Maintenance certification.   Must have working knowledge of Allen Bradley Processor, RS Logic 500, and variable speed frequency drives. High technical aptitude necessary to troubleshoot, repair, and perform electrical, mechanical, pneumatic (air and hydraulics -- operat on & repair), and automated PLC control systems.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot and repair pneumatics, (air and hydraulics -- operation and repair)
  • Must have mechanical ability and knowledge of palletizing equipment.
  • Must have knowledge and experience with electrical operations and procedures. Must be able to read electronic schematics, PLC ladder diagrams, and electrical blueprints.

Qualifications

  • Must have welding and fabricating experience.
  • Must be able to operate/use hoists, gantry, Scissor Lift, Man lift, PIT equipment.
  • Must have own tools, digital volt amp meter and roll away toolbox. Must be able to use hand tools, air tools and various specialty tools.
  • Must have experience with safety procedures, (i.e., Lock-out/Tag-out, etc.)
  • Must be able to work in fast-paced production environment.
  • Must be able to follow directions.  Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be able to move or lift in excess of 75 pounds.
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written.
