In this position, you will:
Provide transportation to and from the day program and assist the people we support in entering and exiting the vehicle.
Monitor all passengers during transit for the purpose of ensuring the safe transportation including monitoring the continued use of seatbelts.
Complete detailed, accurate documentation
We require:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Clean, valid NYS driver’s license
Minimum two (2) years driving experience. Some experience with developmentally disabled population preferred.
Complete (within six (6) months of hire) and maintain required training in SCIP (Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention).
The ability to assist with lifting and transferring a person.
Must have flexibility to be reassigned to other programs and/or locations as needed.
Schedule: Mon - Fri 8a - 10a and/or 2:30p - 4:30p
Flexible with the number of days per week worked
Hourly Rate: $17.00
Some programs/locations may have a differential in addition to the hourly rate.
