Curtiss-Wright Corporation General Manager (India Operations) in Bhosari, India

Oversees operations with multiple locations in a Division within 1-2 countries with an annual revenue of approximately $25M and below. Directs the organization to ensure the attainment of financial and operational goals within the locations support of the company’s overall financial and strategic objectives. Establishes budgets, short- and long-range objectives and criteria for monitoring progress and measuring success. Administers the organization’s policies through subordinate managers and directs and coordinates activities of more than one department, such as engineering, operations, information technology, accounting and finance. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of each location.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Responsible for overall performance of assigned locations. Analyze franchisee performance and provide feedback, guidance, training and encouragement in order to impact results. Assist in the developing of new operations procedures and policies. Reviews and approves sales forecasts, capital requests and operating budgets. Ensures compliance with company standards for revenues, efficiencies, cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and on-time delivery. Manages compliance with local and national regulatory bodies.

Provides strong business leadership in order to achieve optimal customer satisfaction, long term growth and success of operations and has P&L responsibility. Under direction of the GM/ Sr. GM, the General Manager (India Operations) will demonstrate a proven ability to grow and lead profitable production facility(s). Duties must be performed consistent with company mission and values and adherence to company policies and procedures.

1) Manages business unit(s) P&L, budgetary and financial performance requirements, including budgeting and setting and managing to financial targets. Formulates and recommends business unit strategy and operational objectives and identifies and implements approved strategies while monitoring performance against established performance goals/objectives/ targets.

2) Participates in business unit decision making and provides input in aligning overall business strategies and corporate goals with other business units/divisions

3) Working closely with division managers, sales teams and under the guidance of GM/ Sr. GM, develops annual sales forecast and operating budgets, and identifies, develops and implements strategic plans and expansion initiatives to grow the business and define/implement efficient work processes and procedures

4) Leads and directs, through Managers, business unit’s Sales, Operational/Production, Engineering, R&D, Quality, Maintenance, Financial, EH&S and Human Resources activities to achieve business unit goals/objectives. Responsible for business unit’s safety, governance, and human resource activities ‐ ensures business is operating in full legal compliance with Federal / State and local laws/regulations, in accordance with environmental, health and safety regulatory requirements, and within established company standards, processes and procedures

5) Provides leadership in enhancing customer relations that are deemed essential to market share growth ‐ identify new sales and industry markets. Develops and maintains relationships with customers and outside agencies, third party providers, etc.

6) Such other duties commensurate with your role and responsibility as per the instructions of your superiors / Board of Directors
