Boehringer Ingelheim Senior Scientist - Early Development in Biberach, Germany
The Position
Work at the forefront of pharmaceutical development! Join our team as an Early Development Scientist where you will be instrumental in the innovative development of solid oral dosage forms for clinical trials and toxicological studies.
You will represent Pharmaceutical Development (PD) in various interdisciplinary subteams, gaining valuable experience in global NCE development and deeper insights into PD and other functions. Your contributions will be crucial in ensuring our products meet patient needs - from early development to international registration.
Tasks & responsibilities
In your new role, you will be responsible for the development of non-conventional formulations for clinical trials and toxicological studies.
You will independently plan, evaluate, and supervise the development of the pharmaceutical dosage forms and intermediates mainly by using amorphization technologies, e.g. spray drying, nanomilling or lipid formulations.
Therefore, your work will involve fast and smart development approaches for early non-clinical and clinical projects.
As drug product subteam member, you will represent the department in interdisciplinary teams and drive the results within development projects as a Formulation Subteam Leader.
You will evaluate and potentially establish new formulation technologies for non-conventional dosage forms and support our IVT and LAI teams.
Furthermore, you will act as contact person for technical assistants who are assigned to you for the project work.
Additionally, you will support drafting CTA and registration documentation.
Requirements
PhD in Pharmaceutical Technology with experience in pharmaceutical development preferably NCE drug product development, and/or production of solid oral dosage forms
Knowledge on formulation/process development for non-conventional oral dosage forms
Team player with excellent organizational skills and a high problem-solving competency for technical, organizational, and strategic challenges
Very good communication and presentation skills in English and German for oral and written communication
