The Position

In the role of a Senior System Engineer, you will be a crucial part of our global IT Security Operations team, operating within a dynamic IT Operations organization. Your primary responsibilities will encompass Site Security, Alarming, and Security Management Systems. You will also be engaged in the strategic planning, implementation, and support of the corresponding IT services.

Your proficiency in IT, security technologies, and IT infrastructure will empower Site Security to depend on a robust and cutting-edge IT systems and services. This position offers you the opportunity to shape the future work methods and contribute to the ongoing digital transformation.

Tasks & responsibilities

• In youe new role, you will engage regularly with IT colleagues and stakeholders, gaining insights into their processes and requirements. Your role will involve recommending and implementing enhancements to IT processes.

• You will develop and provide user training and support for assigned processes. You will also be involved in performing or assisting with administrative and maintenance tasks for designated applications and resolving escalated application and system issues.

• Moreover, you will contribute to achieving goals by participating in project teams. You will be responsible for delivering on assigned tasks and action items, managing small to medium-sized projects, or playing a significant role within a large project team.

• From a technical perspective, you will utilize your knowledge of applications/systems and their underlying architecture. You will also stay up to date of IT process best practices, technology trends, and emerging technologies.

• Finally, you will identify documentation needs and produce the required documentation in support of baseline and project activities.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or similar technical oriented education with several years of professional experience in an international IT environment

• Experience with physical security related technology (Physical Site Security Operations, Infrasturcture Alarming, Security Communications, etc.)

• Familiar with Security, Facility Management Systems (e.g. WinGuard)

• Experience with project management

• Solid knowledge of and experience with life cycle methodology

• Advanced level of IT process and technical understanding, and demonstrated knowledge in the area of Security Operations

• Very good knowledge of German and English
