Power Integrations Quality Assurance Manager in Biel, Switzerland

To strengthen our team in Biel, Switzerland, we are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager (m/f/d) to drive our quality processes in the automotive and electronics industries. Quality Assurance Manager (m/f/d) Your responsibilities:

  • Manage Quality Assurance activities during ATV NPI (audits, APQP, PPAP, quality issues).

  • Ensure compliance of ATV processes/tools based on customer requirements (e.g. by training of process owners, by internal audits, by regular APQP meetings).

  • Support and follow-up internal audits (e.g. ISO 9001, IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, etc.).

  • Manage Quality Assurance topics for product in series (RMA, supplier complaints, internal NC's/CAPA).

  • Support process owners in the definition and monitoring of their processes.

  • Plan and support external audits from third parties (e.g. ISO 9001) and customers.

  • Further development of Quality processes and continuous improvement.

  • Support to develop the change management process throughout the lifecycle of the products.

  • Focus on automotive (ATV) for: Change Analyst PLM (waiver and HGD changes), Management of Incoming Customer Quality Requests.

  • Train and coach people to methodologies and core tools. Plan and execute internal and external trainings.

    Your profile:

  • Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, or a comparable degree.

  • Further education in Quality Assurance/Management (postgraduate studies or comparable degree).

  • 5 years of professional experience in Quality Management.

  • 2 years of experience in electronic automotive industry.

  • Technical knowledge of electronics.

  • Auditor ISO9001:2015, solid background on IATF16949:2016 and VDA 6.3.

  • Experience in electronic and PCB assembly.

  • Knowledge of the QM tools (FMEA / PPAP / 8D / SPC) and automotive PPAP & APQP processes.

  • Very good working knowledge of quality management and process improvements.

  • Internal and external audit skills.

  • Team working, communication skills.

  • Result oriented. Ability to understand quality standards and implement them in the organization.

  • Ability and willingness to identify and solve problems.

  • Languages: English (good communication skills), German/French is a plus.

  • Ability to travel occasionally (<5%).
