Position Type: Athletics/Activities/Assistant Coach Date Posted: 5/20/2024 Location: High School Date Available: 08/12/2024 Closing Date: Until Filled Description: Assistant Coach - Football Job Summary: Working under the direction of the head coach, carries out the objectives of the sport program as outlined by the head coach and athletic director. Qualifications: Fulfills the following criteria: Strong work ethic and dedication to furthering the benefits of participation in co-curricular activities. Leadership skills including but not limited to organization, vision, motivation, and conflict resolution. Ability to work with student athletes, parents, staff, and community. Can verify substantial knowledge of the rules and technical aspects of football; and Can verify substantial knowledge of Minnesota High School League rules. Ability to lift and move around objects weighting 10+ pounds regularly. A strong background in high school and/or collegitate football as a participant and/or coach is preferred. Responsible to: The Activities Director, who provides overall objectives in conjunction with the High School Principal. Supervises: The athletes in their sport in grades 7-12 in conjunction with the Activities Director, and respective Principal.
