We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Birmingham, Alabama. The successful candidate will be part of our team, operating in the industrial industry. The role involves downloading and processing invoices from vendors, reconciling accounts, and utilizing specific software for accounts payable tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Downloading emailed invoices from vendors in a timely manner

• Processing these invoices accurately and efficiently using the AP system

• Reconciling accounts to ensure all financial information is up-to-date and correct

• Utilizing Hosted Merchant software for accounts payable tasks

• Collaborating with the team and reporting to the relevant personnel

• Handling confidential information with discretion

• Assisting with other administrative tasks as required

• Utilizing Google Sheets for data management and tracking

• Ensuring all tasks are performed in compliance with company policies and regulations

• Providing excellent customer service and addressing customer inquiries regarding credit applications.

Requirements

• Must possess proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures

• Demonstrated experience in Account Reconciliation is required

• Familiarity with the Hosted Merchant software is desirable

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously is crucial

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary

• Experience with data entry and general office administration tasks

• Ability to work independently and in a team setting

• Must demonstrate strong problem-solving skills

• A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required

• Prior experience in a similar role would be advantageous

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is expected

• Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
