Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Financial Officer II to support the Department of Biomedical Engineering by managing and supporting financial operations of larger and complex units. This person will be developing and administering budgets and financial system, project revenue, space and facility planning, grants management, and regulatory compliance. Monitors adherence too and follows established guidelines, policies, and procedures for assigned units. Establishes and maintains accurate financial management databases. Makes decisions regarding the reporting and use of the financial resources. Provides financial guidance to assigned staff and appropriate University personnel and coordinates integration with the University accounting system. May oversee billing and collections operations, including third-party reimbursement and direct patient billing for some units. May manage revenue-producing activity. May manage the entire or parts of the accounting functions for the assigned unit. Typically supervises office support and/or professional staff, which could include hiring, training, performance evaluation, discipline, and if necessary, discharge.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or a related field

5+ years of related experience to accounting, billing, or financial operations null
