ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Senior Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing and delivering Quality Management Services in accordance with Project and Client requirements.

The Senior Quality Manager will assume responsibility and act as custodian for the maintenance of Quality Services Quality Management System and delivery of the internal quality programme.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibility of the Senior Quality Manager is to provide Quality Management services and support for both internal (WSP) and external clients.

This responsibility includes:

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Quality Manager team as necessary to support business needs.

  • Develop and implement quality strategy and management system procedures to align with statutory and regulatory requirements, industry standards and specifications.

  • Manage QS internal and external audit programme to satisfy requirements of QS QMS.

  • Develop and implement project audit programme and lead audits.

  • Carry out root cause analysis for non-conformances and lead the implementation of corrective and preventative action.

  • Lead supplier quality audits.

  • Coordinate and execute internal quality audits.

  • Lead site-based high value / critical inspections and quality investigations.

  • Lead and mentor Quality Services team members.

The Senior Quality Manager is also responsible for maintenance of the Quality Services Quality Management System.

This responsibility includes, but is not limited to:

  • Maintaining the Quality Services internal quality programme.

  • Review and update of the QMS and associated procedures.

  • Internal and supply chain audit.

  • Management and closure of internal NCRs and customer complaints/appeals.

  • Monitor and measure internal performance by gathering relevant data and analysis of KPI’s.

  • Lead quality improvement initiatives within the organisation.

  • Provide Quality Support to Bid Managers and Project Managers, including writing quality supporting documents.

  • Act as key point of contact for all Quality associated inquiries.

Additional responsibilities of the Senior Quality Manager role may include:

  • Support the WSP Energy proposals team by providing input to any prequalification documents, tender documents, bid clarifications and technical queries.

  • Carry out accompanied inspections on Project Managers and QSE’s.

  • Conduct quality control reviews of QSE inspection reports.

The nominated Lead Quality Manager is responsible for the line management of Quality Services Quality Managers.

The Senior Quality Manager may be required to undertake responsibilities in the role of Quality Surveillance Engineer.

We'd love to hear from you if you have the following:

Essential qualification and experience:

  • Degree qualification (or equivalent) in relevant discipline.

  • Recognised Lead Auditor qualification.

  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 10005:2018, and ISO/IEC 17020:2012 and other relevant standards.

  • Experience in a project management, quality, engineering role in a manufacturing, testing or project environment with responsibility for maintaining a management system.

  • Understanding and awareness of root cause and improvement techniques.

Desirable qualification and experience:

  • Member of recognised project management or engineering institute.

  • Lean / Six Sigma qualification (or equivalent).

  • Competence in engineering discipline.
