Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and enforcement of universal standards for all vendor-related penalties and chargebacks (for both On Time & In Full (OTIF) and non-OTIF policies), coordinating closely with merchants, supply chain, and planning/allocation teams

• Address the vendor community and merchants on expectations and standards at a strategic level such as how to address non-recurring incidents or how to prioritize compliance efforts

• Develop IT policies and procedures for EDI/automation software setup and vendor communication, ensuring consistency and continuous upkeep/handling of supply chain technology across the organization; collaborate with IT on development of a Minimum Viable Product (MVP)

• Serve as a primary point of contact for critical vendor communications for vendor performance

• Collaborate with merchants to develop and implement high-level strategies for vendor sourcing/negotiations & vendor prioritization to maximize positive impact on supply chain

• Establish processes for communicating compliance/chargeback rationale to vendors

• Oversee the vendor management analyst team, setting strategic goals and ensuring alignment with the company's larger supply chain and logistics objectives

• Provide regular internal updates on the progress and status of the vendor management program

• Lead investigation of root cause of vendor issues with a cross-functional team and drives solutioning

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in vendor management, supply chain, or a similar role within a retail or logistics environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership position

• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving strategic objectives & proven track record of delivering business results through collaboration and influence

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of effectively managing relationships with internal teams and external vendors

• Knowledge of EDI, automation software, and other supply chain management technologies

In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ’s Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is starting from $122,500.00.
