We have 3 Sr. Payroll Compliance Analyst (Center of Excellence / EMEA) positions open. We are seeking payroll authorities with extensive payroll compliance and audit experience for a subset of countries: Netherlands, Belgium and the Nordic countries.
These colleagues will possess recent and sustained knowledge of their country portfolio compliance (payroll, benefits, tax & audit) and report into our Global Payroll Audit function. This critical role functions as the liaison between the business units, legal, tax authorities, technical teams, vendors, external consultants, internal/external auditors and most importantly, Thermo Fisher colleagues. Serving as a multi-country compliance authority, the Sr. Payroll Compliance Analyst (CoE / EMEA) gathers business requirements, translates them into a working set of functional requirements, applies and participates in industry standard testing methodologies while ensuring a successful transition to production. It is critical that this role maintain current on local legislation, compliance, and regulatory changes for a defined group of approximately 1-4 countries (depending on population size and country complexity).
In addition, the Sr. Payroll Compliance Analyst (CoE / EMEA) has input into country specific projects, task development, and implementation planning around business requirements and testing needs. The Sr. Payroll Compliance Analyst (CoE / EMEA) is also responsible for creating test plans, test scripts and performing user acceptance testing. This visible role will possess the ability to effectively assess business needs, technical and functional requirements, and constraints, as well as the compatibility between different application components. Documenting payroll solutions within defined GBS standards is critical to sustaining investments in payroll. Implementations and large-scale change requests will require appropriate support from the Sr. Payroll Compliance Analyst (CoE / EMEA) until the change is sustained. Heavy participation in internal/external audits. Raises potential risk appropriately to management as needed.
Other Functions
Support of multi-country compliance & configuration
Business analysis
Implementation/System upgrade coordination, testing and QA
Change Request management
Support regional/global initiatives; execution of process/continuous improvement
Support International Assignee population (hypo tax, data collection, etc.)
Conduct legislation reviews on a monthly/quarterly basis to ensure compliance
Participate in and/or lead internal/external audits
Vendor management
Colleague support as needed
Assist Payroll operations as time permits
Experience:
Extensive payroll experience with advanced HR, Finance and/or IT experience required
Working in a Shared Services environment
Implementations support for at least 2 countries onto a new operating platform
Collaborator & Vendor management
Integrations domain authority
Mergers & Acquisition experience
Data Collection/Conversions
Time & Attendance knowledge
Implementation/System upgrade coordination, testing and QA
Proficient knowledge of GL - ability to recon & fix
Advanced analytical skills
Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (excel, word, etc.)
Experienced knowledge of country and localized payroll legislation

Work schedule may require alignment to different time zones based on the needs of the business

Experience with Workday & SAP Payroll Engine
Travel up to 25%

This is a full-time position (40 hours). Working part-time is an option in case you’re available for at least 32 hours.
