Join our company and be part of an innovative team that’s First in Food. Location Description Michael Foods, Inc., located in Bloomfield, Nebraska, is one of our only cage free facilities. The facility is located three miles outside of Northeast Nebraska's busiest community. Bloomfield is a haven for those who prefer small-town life over city living and is located less than 30 miles from recreation areas where you can enjoy fishing, boating, kayaking and camping. Our location produces liquid egg product that is sent to our other facilities for further processing. Responsibilities JOB SUMMARY: This is a clerical position that is responsible for a variety of tasks to support Farm Production and Feed Milling Activities in routine accounting and reporting matters. This position involves contact with farm production management and staff at all levels. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Generate farm invoices, credit memos and settlement sheets for corn and ingredients in the mill. Verify accuracy of invoices and credit memos for feed ingredients by reviewing quantities, prices, coding and appropriate signatures of approval. Generate feed mill purchase orders for feed ingredients. Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and respond to information requests. Generate and maintain records and inventories of corn, soymeal and other contracted ingredients. Reconcile SAP and Repete inventories for feed ingredients and finished feed. Reconcile production, breaking and shipping data. Prepare and maintain necessary records for SOX reporting for the feedmill. Assist with accumulating and entering layer and pullet flock transactions. Assist with month-end closing by generating and supplying necessary reports. Verify weekly production report information matched SAP Flock Feed System reporting. Perform administrative and clerical duties including filing, copying, faxing, typing, answering the main line, greeting and assisting visitors/vendors in a professional manner etc. Prepare freight bills and documentation for outbound tankers. Create POs, Manage and compile paperwork (invoices and packing slips) Provides back-up to others on the admin team as needed and will cross train them. Participates on committees as needed for HR/Safety presence and support. Assumes personal responsibility to ensure safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and incorporate safety and health in all jobs and tasks. Adheres to Quality work practices, follows GMP’s, maintains sanitary conditions and ensures that product quality is maintained. Reports to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety and quality. Able to work overtime and holidays when needed. Complete special projects and other duties as assigned. Qualifications JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. Experience: One year technical training beyond high school in accounting or computer operation and two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills: Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups, customers/vendors or employees of the organization. Ability to respond to questions from internal/external customers/vendors at all levels including management. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Licenses, certificates, registrations: Other skills and abilities: Specific skills and abilities required that are not included in other sections: Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word applications required. Basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Operation of office equipment including calculators, photocopiers, fax machines, printers and computers. Methods and techniques of maintaining record keeping and filing systems. Methods of generating and formatting reports in an efficient manner. Organized and detail oriented. Able to handle multiple tasks. Maintain confidentiality Communication and interpersonal relations as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisors, the public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
