About the role This is an entry position requiring a working knowledge of the division’s data entry system and overall product configuration process. The candidate is responsible for data creation / entry of new product configurations and for modifications to existing products and administers all aspects of related processes required to ensure product configuration control. This position works under extensive supervision. This role provides the opportunity to work within the Network Solutions Business Unit of Leviton Manufacturing Company Inc. Responsibilities Maintains part number and document number databases Enters and maintains bill of material (BOM) and item master data Assists new product development teams and production with timely data entry in support of project schedules Under supervision, aligns processes / procedures with corporate documentation / database processes where appropriate Creates and distributes reports on documentation status, product release/change status, and other reports as directed by supervisor Provides direct support for product configuration setups, updates, and maintenance within Oracle for multiple manufacturing site deployment. This includes responsibilities associated with updating and maintaining per engineering direction Assemble To Order (ATO) models, Engineered To Order (ETO), work order BOM changes, component/items setups, routings, engineering changes notices, and audits. Abides by corporate and divisional policies and procedures Additional duties as assigned Qualifications Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on MS Excel and MS Word Oracle knowledge preferred Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to listen effectively and ask questions when necessary Familiar with components, assemblies and technical terminology Must be extremely detail oriented with the ability to produce accurate, thorough and error free work Must be able to work and contribute in a team environment but also have the ability to work independently Must be able to use time efficiently and multi-task to meet established deadlines Ability and desire to learn Education & Experience Associates Degree (AA) or equivalent is preferred Minimum 1-year experience in the field of configuration management preferred Local Experience - EMC&A ORCAD and Solidworks preferred Local Experience - Residential Experience with pdf publishing software such as Adobe or Nuance preferred Knowledge of / experience with an Electronic Document Management system is a plus.
