Sodexo is seeking a Food Operations Manager for Illinois Wesleyan University located in Bloomington, IL . Illinois Wesleyan is in the top 2.9% of colleges and universities in the nation for promoting social mobility (moving children from the bottom fifth of incomes as students to the top fifth of incomes as adults). Located in Bloomington-Normal, Illinois, combined population about 130,000, we're midway between Chicago, Illinois and St. Louis, Missouri.

Our successful candidate will oversees Residential Dining, Retail Operations, and supports Catering as needed. Strong administration, organization and client relations skills are necessary at this management level.

The successful candidate will:

• possess college/university experience

• identify customer needs and expectations;

• ensure that Sodexo and customer goals are aligned and met;

• educate and develop rapport with clients and promote partnerships;

• promote a customer/client centered culture that strives to exceed customer and client needs;

• coordinate all unit catering initiatives to drive sales growth and track results.

• maintain and improve service level resulting in increased customer satisfaction;

• ensure all HACCP standards are followed;

• demonstrate resourcefulness and quick responsiveness to client and customer requests.

• Experience with managing retail operations food service business

• prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 3 years

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
