About this role

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our new Enterprise Core IT division of the stand-alone Industrial Fire business at our new world headquarters in Minneapolis, MN. You will be part of the separation process from Carrier as well as setting up the standalone IT infrastructure. As the JD Edwards/Digital Factory/ERP Lead , you will impact the success of Industrial Fire and ensure the growth of the business.

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our JD Edwards Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) as well as Digital Factory development and future roadmap. This critical role will be responsible for overseeing the implementation, development, and ongoing support of our JD Edwards ERP system and other integrated modules and components used in multiple Industrial Fire businesses. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of ERP principles, extensive experience with JD Edwards modules, and a proven track record of successfully managing ERP projects in a complex organizational environment.

Preference will be given to candidates close to Minneapolis, but we are open to receiving applicants from across the USA.

Key Responsibilities

ERP Implementation and Customization

  • Lead the implementation and configuration of JD Edwards E1 ERP modules to meet the business requirements

  • Recommend appropriate integrated and third-party applications and services to support business activity

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document functional and technical requirements

  • Customize JD Edwards applications and workflows to optimize business processes and enhance user productivity

Project Management:

  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets for JD Edwards ERP initiatives including other integrated modules, such as MES and financial applications

  • Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and consultants to ensure successful project delivery

  • Monitor project progress, report progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track

System Maintenance and Support:

  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for JD Edwards ERP system, including troubleshooting issues, applying patches, and performing upgrades alongside with selected partners

  • Develop and maintain documentation, user guides, and training materials for JD Edwards applications

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point for JD Edwards-related inquiries and incidents

  • Participate in audits and assessments to validate the effectiveness of security controls

  • Ensure the optimal system availability through internal/third-party support to make certain of ensure maximum business continuity

Business Process Optimization:

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the JD Edwards ERP system

  • Recommend and implement best practices for leveraging JD Edwards functionality to streamline business operations

  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of system configurations to ensure alignment with business requirements and industry standards

Partner management:

  • Evaluate, plan and select vendors and technology partners for your domain

  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service-level agreements

Employee mentorship:

  • Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning

  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to drive professional growth and development

Budgetary Management:

  • Manage and control all budgetary activity related to the JD Edwards E1 application and infrastructure

Digital Factory:

  • Create a more agile, efficient, and responsive manufacturing environment that can quickly adapt to changes in demand, technology, and market conditions

  • Plan and projectize the integration of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and suitable Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to streamline factory operations and ensure seamless communication between different business functions

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5 years plus of experience with JD Edwards modules and integrations, implementation, customization, and support

  • 2 years plus of experience in developing digital factory capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration

  • Advanced degree

  • Successfully leading JD Edwards ERP projects from initiation to completion

  • Strong understanding of ERP principles, business processes, and industry best practices

  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and deliver results on time and within budget

  • Effective English communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization

  • Relevant certifications

  • Familiar with Agile principles and SCRUM techniques
