Aon Corporation US International Tax Senior Manager in Bloomington, Minnesota

US International Tax Senior Manager The US International Tax Senior Manager will directly work with the Senior Director of Tax Reporting and Compliance. Will lead U.S. international tax compliance and assist the Senior Director of Tax with quarterly and year-end tax accounting. Will continue to grow and develop a team of talented tax professionals. This significant role will specifically include managing the completion of all required U.S. federal corporate income tax forms, including, but not limited to, 5471, 8858, 1118, components of GILTI, as well as tracking CFC, Earnings and Profits, Previously Taxed Income/ Basis, local foreign taxes and FTC baskets and assistance with Pillar II. SPECIFIC DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND SKILLS The US International Tax Senior Manager will directly assist both the Senior Tax Director and Tax Director with global compliance, provision and planning support. Will lead U.S. international tax compliance and assist the Senior Tax Director and Tax Director with quarterly and year-end tax accounting. Will continue to grow and develop a team of talented tax professionals. Administrator of Corptax, with focus on US International compliance. Manage the re-implementation of Corptax. This significant role will specifically include managing the completion of all required U.S. federal corporate income tax forms, including, but not limited to, 5471, 8858, 1118, components of GILTI, FDII and BEAT, as well as tracking CFC, Earnings and Profits, Previously Taxed Income/ Basis, local foreign taxes and FTC baskets and assistance with the implementation of Pillar II. Assist with the general function for all aspects of U.S. tax compliance and financial reporting as it pertains to the international operations. Assist the Tax Reporting function with calculations required under ASC 740 relating to international operations. Knowledge and experience of 2017 tax reform, including section 965 transition tax; global low-taxed intangible income (GILTI); section 245A participation exemption; section 267A anti-hybrid rules; section 163(j) interest expense limitations; and various other changes to subpart F and FTC regimes. Assist with international tax software maintenance for both compliance and reporting, including e-filing of tax return. Assist with implementation of Pillar II Support Aon foreign operations with international tax matters. Review certain foreign income tax returns prepared by outside service providers. Assist with various assigned projects, including research and planning for specific issues, including assisting planning team with fact finding, analysis and related planning support and modeling. Work with third parties, including Big 4 tax accountants and law firms. QUALIFICATIONS BS degree in Finance or Accounting required. 8-10+ years of progressive work experience in international tax areas (i.e., compliance, ASC740, planning). MST and/or CPA preferred Experience at a company with global operations and/or public accounting firm. Application of the US GAAP rules related to international operations. History of successfully managing projects. Proven ability to work in a collaborative and cross functional organization. Strong process orientation; well-structured and well organized. Strong project management, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Solid financial and business acumen. Self-starter with strong work ethic and a passion for a fast-paced environment. Willingness to learn and work in new areas of taxation. Able to handle multiple assignments and manage competing priorities with tight deadlines. Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity. Working knowledge of computer software applications (Workday) and U.S. tax compliance and U.S. tax provision systems (Corptax required). The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $140,000 - 180,000 annually.
