DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Arconic is currently in search of a Hardware Specialist II to join our Kawneer Business.

The Hardware Specialist II is designed to apply essential knowledge of Kawneer door and door hardware applications to provide a focused, efficient, expert service to internal and external customers. This role will report to KNA Bloomsburg, PA but the candidate may reside in other KNA locations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:  * Review door hardware application at any stage of project (estimating, order entry, production), prepares door hardware quote/submittal as well as quality assurance compatibility checks for KaluCad material proposals   * Provide exceptional service through interacting effectively and timely with internal and external customers, in determining door and door hardware application   * Help maintain market expected lead time for order transfer after customer release of doors for production   * Familiar with architectural plans and shop drawings / installation instructions as required for each project application, including reviewing/correcting door and door hardware information on shop drawings.   * Interact and coordinate with door hardware suppliers including securing outside hardware pricing and ordering.   * Help maintain date management against customer order schedules, and work with vendors / customers to achieve alternate solutions to meet installation demands   * Familiar with and maintaining knowledge of all Kawneer products, specifically those that interact with doors and door hardware.   * Stay well versed on updates from Hardware vendors and hardware code changes.   * Maintain and continuously update door hardware application/compatibility databases   * Other Job Duties as Required

Essential Knowledge and Skills:  * Strong initiative and the ability to work independently with general supervision   * Coach and display leadership, recognize opportunities and proactively initiate and execute actions to support the company's business plans   * Demonstrated communication skills - written and verbal / phone   * Demonstrated customer relationship skills   * Computer skills, including intranet (research products)   * Demonstrated organizational / time management skills   * Door and door hardware application and compatibility knowledge   * Adhering and modeling the company vision, mission, and safety goals   * Ability to understand building codes, standards, Americans with Disabilities Act requirements, hurricane impact, blast and keep up with updates as it relates to doors and door hardware.   * Read and interpret architectural plans and installation instructions

Basic Qualifications:  * High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution  * 3 years' experience in Kawneer Estimating or Door Take-off or equivalent experience with another commercial door and door hardware supplier  * Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:  * Two- or Four-year College Degree or 4 years industry experience in Commercial doors and door hardware  * Knowledge of Kawneer products, especially doors and hardware
