Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Holcim (US) Inc. seeks an Area Leader in Bloomsdale, MO to plan, execute and commission CAPEX projects within the cement plant, creating standards, as applicable. The individual will plan the activities of Maintenance Department. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure compliance with OHS standards and regulations, and perform OHS assignments, as required

  • Manage all resources in the reliability team with respect to performing planned and unplanned jobs to meet plant performance targets

  • Ensure weekly maintenance plans are scheduled by reliability and planning engineers and performed as scheduled

  • Ensure good communication across functions, including third party services

  • Coordinate project execution (PMA and cost controlling) and reporting.

  • Serve as RCA team member and help to define parameters to achieve RCA goals

  • Ensure all engineers perform root cause analysis and eliminate repetitive troubles on a timely basis

  • Track action plan progress achievements

  • Ensure reliability planning engineers establish FMEA for critical equipment “A” to determine critical spare part and task list link to SAP

  • Ensure Bill of Material (BoM) is available in SAP and used by reliability and planning engineers for planning and scheduling

  • Ensure all standards and specifications are available in SAP and attached to work orders

  • Coordinate all functions for maintenance budgeting of OPEX and CAPEX

  • Responsible for CAPEX budgeting, proposals, and requests through portfolio project management.

  • Perform monthly reviews of maintenance spend, referring to the approved budget

  • Ensure shutdown preparation and execution is managed by the shutdown engineer as planned

  • Coordination with all concerned departments to achieve successful shutdowns

  • Utilize resources (spare parts, in-house manpower, and contractors) for shutdown execution

  • Review inspection results and action plans with no major breakdown of critical equipment

  • Define development plans of team members and motivate individual and team performance.

REQUIREMENTS:

The position of Area Leader requires a bachelor’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering field, plus 5 years of progressively-responsible, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered, as a Maintenance Engineer, or in a related heavy industry position.

The position of Area Leader requires 3 years of professional experience with each of the following:

  1. SAP maintenance system

  2. Conducting Preventive Maintenance activities for a cement plant

  3. Heavy Industrial Project Management Execution
