Element Materials Technology Full Stack Developer (PHP) in Blue Ash, Ohio
Overview
Element and its new Lab Technology Group are looking for an experienced PHP Developer with a passion for Linux, MySQL, and web development to contribute to our software projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of frontend and backend technologies, including JavaScript, HTML, PHP, MySQL, GIT, and Bash scripting.
As a member of our team, you will work closely with various individuals to support and develop and maintain our software applications, troubleshoot technical issues, and contribute to the overall success of our projects.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with senior developers to design, develop, and maintain web applications using frontend and backend technologies.
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in JavaScript, HTML, PHP, MySQL, and Bash.
Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Troubleshoot and debug technical issues, including Linux server configuration, database queries, and frontend/backend code.
Work closely with the Product Lead to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions that meet customer needs.
Follow best practices and coding standards to ensure software quality and security.
Document technical specifications, processes, and procedures as needed.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve technical skills and knowledge.
Skills / Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Solid understanding of Linux operating systems and command-line tools.
Proficiency in MySQL database design, optimization, and maintenance.
Strong programming skills in JavaScript, HTML, PHP, and Bash scripting. Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow.
Knowledge of development frameworks such as Symfony is a plus.
