We are inviting applications for a part-time Sr. Accountant role in the Healthcare, Hospitals, and Social Assistance industry located in Blue Ash, OH, This position offers a contract to hire employment opportunity and plays a crucial role in managing books and records, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports. The role involves a blend of account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, general ledger management, and month-end close activities.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee timely month-end close processing and financial statement review and distribution

• Create and review reports, analyze variances, and distribute to management

• Perform monthly account reconciliations and various accounts payable reconciliations

• Assist with GAAP to STAT entries and tracking

• Aid in NAIC Quarterly and Annual Filings

• Support leadership in collecting support and tracking during various audits

• Undertake other accounting projects and functions as assigned

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various operations and data management

• Conduct journal entries and bank reconciliations as part of the role.

Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

• Proven experience in a similar role within the Healthcare industry

• Expertise in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Strong knowledge of General Ledger maintenance and Journal Entries

• Demonstrable experience in managing Month End Close

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly

• Must be able to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
