Western Aircraft Avionics Sales Manager in Boise, Idaho
The Avionics Sales Manager is responsible business development through coordination and oversight of sales for Avionics Maintenance & other services. In addition, the Avionics Sales Manager will develop a sales plan targeting new customers or upselling to current customers, and source to identify new prospects via Jetnet, Salesforce.com, and leads through other avenues.
Duties & Responsibilities
Sell avionics and cabin electronics modifications, upgrades, and mandated equipment installations to Business Jet and Turboprop aircraft operators
Collaborate with Maintenance & Interior Sales to identify and act upon cross-selling opportunities and ensure coordinated communication with Western Aircraft customers
Research/Identify prospects in key marketing area, using Salesforce.com, Jetnet, market data, and team input
Incorporate Company sales methods to ensure consistent, coordinated sales efforts, and improved win rates
Apply Western Aircraft’s business strategy to develop new products and business opportunities
Assist customer in determining best avionics and cabin management solutions for their aircraft profile and personal preferences
Accurately research and quote parts, labor and outside services for avionics projects that fall within Western’s target product offering and airframes
Sell via phone and in person, using technology and mobile tools as part of the process
Negotiate customer terms and pricing with goal of maximizing revenue and contribution margin, while remaining competitive in the marketplace
Actively participate in trade shows and follow-up after the show with business contacts and prospects
Organize sales trips to meet with prospects, and set specific objectives for each trip, often in coordination with Maintenance and/or Interior Sales
Qualifications & Job Requirements
Minimum five (5) years’ experience in aviation services sales or management preferred
Maintenance, repair, and/or overhaul background with corporate aircraft focus preferred
Must possess a working knowledge of business aviation maintenance, manufacturers, and marketplace
Proficiency, or ability to comprehensively learn, CRM software, such as Salesforce.com
Strong proficiency with MS Office including creation of spreadsheets, quotes, databases, and reports in Excel & Word
Experience utilizing Corridor to build and edit quotes
Experience interpreting Maintenance Manuals, Service Bulletins, and other technical directives
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in a Business or Aviation preferred
Airframe & Powerplant Certifications preferred
Other Prerequisites
Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
Ability to obtain Airport Issued security badge
Valid Driver’s License
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Willingness and ability to travel 50% of the time
Primarily indoors in a temperature-controlled environment
Requires sitting 6-8 hours a day
Occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
