Micron Technology, Inc. CXL Media System Validation Product Engineer in Boise, Idaho

Micron’s Compute Express Link (CXL) technology development group, based in Boise (Idaho), is seeking a versatile and innovative engineer to join its Media System Validation team!

This position gives an opportunity to engage in CXL technology at an early development phase, as it becomes widely adopted by the industry! We are involved in the architecture and design, hardware and firmware development, validation of IP blocks, performance and power optimization and reliability analysis. We work with sophisticated memory technology like DDR and LPDDR 5/6, and sophisticated PCIe technology like PCIe5/6. We also work on Intel and AMD’s next gen CPUs and platforms. Your everyday work will involve participation in pre silicon product development. As well as post silicon validation, which will require writing test codes and FWs on next generation CPUs and newly developed CXL devices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related fields

  • 5+ Years of relevant industry experience.

  • Experience in Memory and Storage Systems, e.g. DDR, LPDDR, NVMe/SSD.

  • Hardware experience on: X86, ARM/Intel/AMD Motherboards, FPGAs

  • Bus and communication protocol experience: PCIe, I2C/I3C, UART

  • Proficiency in: Python, C, C++, Assembly, Linux/Unix operating systems

  • Experience in usage of Oscilloscope, Logic and Protocol Analyzers

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
