Micron Technology, Inc. Intern - Facilities Ultrapure Water/Waste Water Engineer in Boise, Idaho

Looking for engineers to contribute to the design, construction, commissioning, and sustaining operations for our new state of the art high volume manufacturing Fab and existing technology development fab in Boise, ID. In this role you would be working in a team environment to develop knowledge of our ultrapure water treatment and/or waste water treatment systems and gain industrial experience that compliments your studies. You will develop an understanding of systems, engineering design and provide support for system modifications and upgrades to improve system operations. You will analyze operational data to evaluate system performance. Provide technical review of process, materials, and/or equipment to improve safety and production performance.

Typical internship will be for the summer months, and will be located in Boise, Idaho. We will assign you a project that is intended to last the duration of your 3-month internship and will occupy most of your time. We anticipate for our intern to take the initiative to move your assigned project forward. Near the end of the internship, you will be required to complete a verbal presentation on your project and results.

You will be provided training in our safety procedures and for the operations required for your assignment. Your training will be vital to ensure a safe working experience for you and your team members.

Qualifications:

  • We need someone who wants to work in an exciting and fast paced environment

  • The ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently, prioritize issues and tasks

  • Excellent technical, communication, and analytical skills

  • PC skills in Microsoft Office applications

  • Possess a continuous improvement process (CIP) demeanor, looking for ways to improve operations, and how to make a difference today!

  • We need an intern drawn to creative problem solving and innovative solutions

  • Excellent coordination and facilitation skills, with the ability to present to a diverse audience.

  • Completing required safety training and always adhering to Micron safety policies.

Education Requirements:

  • Working towards BS (Junior or Senior), MS in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemistry or related field of study.
