Boston University ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR, Dept. of Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology in BOSTON, Massachusetts

The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology is responsible for didactic and clinical education of DMD students. This also involves correct operation and use of the radiology clinical equipment that is located throughout GSDM at 635 Albany Street which includes coordinating with the pre and post doc clinics the radiology appointment needs for new patients or current patients of record. The Administrative Coordinator will provide advanced administrative support to the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology acting as the primary liaison between the Program Directors, faculty, and students. The administrative duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: providing assistance to faculty with Blackboard, proctoring of exams, submission of grades, summative evaluation process; scheduling meetings for the Chair and faculty, ordering of supplies and paying invoices. The Administrative Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination of care for pre-scheduled patients (referral patient) ensuring that the appropriate type of radiology appointment is booked correctly in the Salud patient system. The department is a vibrant, busy unit and the incumbent must work well under time constraints, exercise initiative, independent judgment, and discretion in the day-to-day running of an extremely busy environment.

Required Skills

Requirements:

Assoc Degree required; 4-6 previous work experience in similar role.

Must have experience reconciling purchase orders and paying invoices.

Must have experience with Microsoft office Suite including Outlook; must be comfortable working in a system driven and digital environment.

Must be organized with strong time management, prioritization skills an problem solving.

Preferred:

Previous Healthcare Experience working in a clinical setting.

Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 3 years related work experience.
