<p>As a member of the Wayfair Specialty Retail Brands (All Modern, Birch Lane, Joss & Main) Profit Management team, you’ll sit right at the center of the pricing organization helping us answer the most important questions about one of Wayfair’s biggest areas of growth. You’ll use your analytical and problem solving skills to find new ways to improve and grow our business. Your work will be highly visible and cross-functional; you will regularly engage directly with senior leaders across the business.</p>

<p>As a Profit Management Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to execute monthly price releases, ensuring that Wayfair remains competitive in the market while still maintaining a healthy margin. In addition to this, you'll be responsible for performing ad hoc analysis to identify opportunities for growth and profitability, and making data-driven recommendations to the business.</p>

<p><strong>Key responsibilities include:</strong></p>

<ul>

<li>Serve as an expert on overall profit performance and strategy for Wayfair Specialty Retail Brands (All Modern, Birch Lane, Joss & Main), and be the point person for topics related to profit and revenue management.</li>

<li>Conduct root cause analyses and leverage cross-functional partnerships to quickly identify performance issues and recommended actions that the organization can execute against.</li>

<li>Analyze business trends, refine how the company sets its pricing and discount strategies, and evaluate new and emerging opportunities to optimize profit and revenue.</li>

<li>Develop and maintain models to forecast and track revenue and profitability, as well as identifying opportunities for growth.</li>

<li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing, merchandising, and finance to develop and execute strategies to drive profitability.</li>

</ul>

<ul>

<li>1+ years of experience working in a quantitative field or a degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or Engineering</li>

<li>Experience with Microsoft Office and/or G Suite</li>

<li>Familiarity with a structured programming language (e.g., SQL, R, Python)</li>

<li>The ability to generate insights and solutions or build a story and strategy using data</li>

<li>Excellent critical thinking and interpersonal skills - ability to break down and communicate complex ideas and influence senior level and cross-functional stakeholders (to include exceptional verbal and written communication skills)</li>

<li>An ownership mindset with the ability to thrive in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment with a dynamic bias for action and a “get stuff done” attitude</li>

<li>A desire to win as a team - collaborative team player who wants to see themselves and others succeed and thrive</li>
