Amazon Software Dev Engineer II, Amazon Health - One Medical in Boston, Massachusetts

Description

One Medical’s Clinical Data Services team contributes to our clinical data architecture across One Medical and Amazon Health systems. We are responsible for building a comprehensive health record consisting of first party, third party, and inferred data sources. Our products serve as the healthcare data interoperability gateway between One Medical and external systems, providing industry-standard APIs for access and retrieval and ensuring a high level of data quality. We make it easy for other teams at One Medical and Amazon to get the data they need to support care and optimize health outcomes in innovative and delightful ways.

We are looking for a Software Engineer who enjoys solving problems. You’ll use that skill to design and build systems that address some of the most pressing problems in healthcare. With great collaboration skills and an eye for users’ needs (both internally and externally), you’ll enjoy working with clinicians and your fellow product development teammates to research, scope, and implement projects. You will act to continuously improve your own skills and the processes of your team. You value scalability, maintainability, and security.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
