We have an immediate opening for a Civil or Environmental Engineer to join our established and expanding remediation and environmental restoration team. The qualified candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience working as a staff or project engineer on civil works projects, remediation construction, earthworks, and site development projects, preferably those involving aquatic and habitat restoration. Location : Portland, OR; La Grande, OR; Bend, OR; Bothell, WA; Walla Walla, WA; Boise, ID Your Role: Assist the design team to meet project objectives for civil, remediation, surface water, and aquatic restoration projects. Prepare engineering design plans, specifications, drawings, and cost estimates. Utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D to create, edit, and work with surfaces from topographic survey points and LiDAR DEM or point cloud data sets. Work with Civil 3D surfaces, points, corridors, profile and section views, grading objects, and breaklines, as well as layout, dimension, and detail engineering design drawings. Produce quality technical reports with strong writing skills. Handle multiple tasks and project responsibilities with exceptional organizational and time management skills. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of restoration professionals including biologists, ecologists, and geomorphologists. Travel for assignments, including multi-day fieldwork across the northwest region. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resource Engineering. Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months. Minimum of 3 years of professional experience with civil, remediation, surface water, or aquatic restoration projects. Strong familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D, and working knowledge of ArcGIS. Ability to create, edit, and work with Civil 3D surfaces from topographic survey points and LiDAR DEM or point cloud data sets. Strong knowledge of Civil 3D surfaces, points, corridors, profile and section views, grading objects, and breaklines. Strong writing skills and experience producing quality technical reports. Exceptional organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Willingness to travel for assignments, including multi-day fieldwork across the northwest region. A pre-employment drug screen in compliance with federal regulations is required, along with a physical if needed. Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions. Desired Skills and Experience: Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and ArcGIS. Experience writing design reports, specifications, and various resource agency reports. General knowledge of aquatic ecosystems and effective design techniques. Experience with construction or construction oversight of civil, remediation, or aquatic restoration projects. Knowledge of preeminent instream design techniques and practices. Familiar
