The University of Colorado Boulder is searching for an Apparel and Gift Assistant Buyer! This role will assist the Apparel and Gift Buyers with all aspects of buying, and will be responsible for inventory distribution/replenishment by location for covered departments. What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Assistant Buyer for apparel and gift departments:

  • This position will support the Apparel and Gift Buyer(s) to purchase product and meet with vendors as needed. They will create reports and analyze data to support the Apparel and Gift Buyer(s) in buying decisions. This position will create apparel and gift inventory items in NetSuite. They will build purchase orders, monitor ship dates with vendors, and adjust ship dates as needed. They will review order acknowledgments and invoices to ensure vendor details are accurate and ensure details match NetSuite purchase orders. They will collaborate with vendors, Distribution Center(DC), and Accounts Payable teams on order discrepancies and request/submit credit memos as needed. They will work closely with the DC team to resolve General Merchandise(GM) service requests and any questions that arise when product is received. This position will collaborate with the buyers, sales floor team, and the DC team to ensure inventory is distributed/replenished as needed by location. This position will request vendor web images for product and collaborate with the e-commerce team to ensure product is represented on the website. They will assist with CU departmental special orders as needed. They will assist on the sales floor in general merchandise areas as needed and participate in general merchandise annual inventory.

Travel to Attend Industry Trade Shows and Educational conferences.

Other duties and projects as assigned.

What You Should Know

  • This in-person position anticipated work schedule is Monday through Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, with occasional weekend days and evenings.

What We Can Offer

  • The salary range for this position is $42,000 - $45,000 per year.

What We Require

  • Bachelor's degree or appropriate experience will substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.

  • One year professional work experience in an apparel retail field.
