Amazon Repair Business Manager, Amazon Resale, After Market Services - AMS in Bratislava, Slovakia

This is an opportunity to join the EU After Market Services (AMS) team on its ‘three zero’ mission to reduce returns (Zero Defects for Customers), to maximize reuse and recovery (Zero Cost of Returns) and improve the sustainability of returns (Zero Waste).

The AMS Repair team is looking for a business manager to own the performance and growth of repair for Amazon Resale EU wide. Amazon Resale sells returned and repaired products, maximizing recommence recovery and minimizing waste

In this role you will:

1) Own the EU wide repair network, managing the relationships with Amazon's repair partners and internal Relo fulfillment centers to optimize performance.

2) Deliver high repair efficiency through close management of input and output metrics. Taking data driven decisions in partnership with stakeholders.

3) Help grow the business through on-boarding new partners, developing new repair models, and being the voice of repair for future tech and product improvements.

You will do all this while holding a high bar for our customers, ensuring that products we sell on Amazon Resale have been repaired to the highest standards that delight customers and don't result in further defects.

Due to the nature of the role, you will work with cross-functional teams including Business, Operations, Tech, Finance, among others. Willingness to roll up sleeves to get things done are essential, as you will be working in a start-up or early stage environment. You will be defining best practices for your function, creating standard operating procedures (SOPs) and acting as a the subject matter expert (SME) for future team members to support a highly strategic fast growth area of the business.

Key job responsibilities

• Own the day to day business performance. Closely monitoring input and output metrics across the repair network

• Be the first point of contact for our repair partners to support them on repair efficiency

• Contribute to development of the business strategy, in particular network expansion and growth of repairable products

• Provide updates to leadership weekly and monthly on performance and new opportunities

Base pay for this position starts from EUR 2400 gross per month and salary depends on the skills and requirements, there will be further pay components such as a sign on bonus and the eligibility to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme operated independently by Amazon.com Inc. in USA. Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Account Management, Partner Management, Sales or other relevant experience

  • Strong interpersonal skills, experience managing complex partnerships to deliver results using metrics and mechanisms

  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills

  • Analytical skills with demonstrated ability to manage the business ‘by the numbers’. Excellent attention to detail and good business judgement.

  • Ability to manage multiple diverging priorities smoothly

  • Open to travel 4-6 times per year

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Reverse Logistics and Operations

  • Knowledge of German, Spanish, French, Italian, Polish or Czech is a plus
