We are looking for a skilled Accountant to maintain our sales records, deposits, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing duties for Accounts Payable. You will be working closely with our VP of A ccounting/Controller to create and analyze reports, process payable, and manage invoices and reconciliations. Ultimately, you will own the entire Accounts Payable process at OMNICOMMANDER. Communication skills are important as you will be in contact with our clients on a daily basis.
What you will do:
Maintain sales records, deposits, and otherwise own the Accounts Receivable function
Month-end close activities, including account reconciliations
Assist in preparing the balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position
Ensure all reporting is submitted according to company accounting schedules
Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts to the general ledger; research discrepancies and determine appropriate courses of action for review and approval by the VP of Accounting
Adhere to controls and processes and assist in the documentation, implementation, and monitoring of company internal control procedures and policies
Assist with preparing monthly financial statements
Assist with the identification and implementation of new financial reporting requirements
Assist with system implementations
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
1-3 years of experience in general accounting, preferably within small to mid-sized businesses experiencing rapid growth
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
Proactive problem-solving capabilities with a swift response rate.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and project management abilities
