To learn more about who we are at Point32Health, click here.Job SummaryUnder the direction of the Director of Finance Operations, this position is responsible for the management of multiple and complex compliance programs, processes, and initiatives for all business lines. This will include analysis, assessment, implementation, and maintenance for state and federal regulations/programs. Finance Operations Compliance will have high visibility to external customers, vendor relationships and multiple internal business areas. The Manager of Finance Operations - Compliance maintains positive relations with Compliance, Legal and Government Affairs departments, and regulatory agencies. Responsible for ensuring all regulatory requirements are met accurately and timely, regularly communicates implications of regulations and risk to key management and identifies or participates in special projects and initiatives to meet individual department and company goals. This position requires independent decision making, strong business acumen, analytical skills and discipline, interpersonal skills, and strong business expertise.Key Responsibilities/Duties - what you will be doingProactively manage complex business processes to ensure timely and accurate completionPrioritize work across multiple teams and business processes, and facilitate issue resolutionInteract regularly with management and leadership teams to understand and meet business goalsManage complex initiatives and project work to ensure accurate and timely completion, and communicate project and team statuses, issues, risks, and recommendations to management Collaborate closely with business partners, and IT to identify areas of automation and efficiencyResponsible for ongoing day to day vendor relationship management to support finance operations functionsSupport, coach, and train staff to ensure a smooth functioning and high performing department; Mentor, motivate and develop staff to obtain maximum performance; Provide performance feedback and reviewsContinuously improve department procedures, management processes and technology solutionsEnsure adherence to corporate controls and polices, and regulatory requirementsOther duties and projects as assigned Detailed Responsibilities:Proactively managing all ongoing regulatory programs and the timely and accurate implementation of new regulatory programs into finance operations processes. Manage all phases of regulatory program(s)/project(s) to ensure compliance, including project plan management, IT and vendor business requirement documentation and testing, leading cross-departmental project team workgroup meetings, and effective stakeholder communication and collaboration with business partners.Analyzing the impact of new and existing regulations and providing technical support and training for finance teams on regulatory matters. Also responsible for evaluating the accuracy and efficiency of ongoing regulatory business processes, including ensuring consistency across business lines.Taking part in larger cross-functional and/or corporate projects that affect ongoing finance operations regulatory programs. Identify plan to implement changes into existing framework and ensure goals and objectives are met within the established timeframe. This includes participating in workgroup and corporate project management office (CPM ) meetings, completion of IT business requirements and testing, and providing project status updates to finance operations management team and working collaboratively to ensure successful integration into existing business processes.Responsible for managing all regulatory audits that impact finance operations. This includes ensuring accurate and timely response to audit requests, leading cross-departmental workgroup meetings, and effective stakeholder communication by identifying and effectively communicating business and financial risk to appropriate levels of management.Responsible for ongoing day to day vendor relationship management of compliance vendors that support finance operations regulatory programs. This involves managing multi-faceted vendor initiatives to ensure timely completion of project commitments and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include contract maintenance and service level agreement (SLA) monitoring. Qualifications - what you need to perform the jobEducation, Certification and LicensureBachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Operations or related field or equivalent work experience. Experience (minimum years required):Minimum 7 years progressive work experience in finance, operations, project management or related field. Managed health care experience is preferred. Analytical experience required.Demonstrated experience in leading, training, coaching, and overseeing performance of others.Skill RequirementsHighly organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and energetic team playerStrong operational problem-solving skills with a clear understanding of impacts on downstream departments and demonstrated experience with analytical workMust be able to interpret complex business situations and understand the Financial Operations implication, and work with multiple systems.Ability to synthesize regulations, direct preparation of documents for submissions to regulatory agencies, and maintain positive relations with regulatory agency staff at many levels This position requires independent judgment and the ability to make timely and sound decisions, and to work autonomouslyDemonstrated ability to build and manage relationships with staff, all levels of management and internal stakeholdersExcellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills required.Strong critical thinking and solution orientedResilient, collaborative, flexible, innovativeTechnical proficiency in Excel and database applications is required.Working Conditions and Additional Requirements (include special requirements, e.g., lifting, travel):Must be able to work under normal office conditions and work from home as required.Work may require simultaneous use of a telephone/headset and PC/keyboard and sitting for extended durations.May be required to work additional hours beyond standard work schedule.Compensation and Total Rewards OverviewAs part of our comprehensive total rewards program, colleagues are also eligible for variable pay.
