National Grid Engineer, Gas Planning and Design Engineering in Brightwaters, New York

Responsible for the engineering, design, and technical oversight during construction of projects relating to the gas distribution network.
- Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to): Design gas main replacement projects using AutoCAD.
- Prioritize work and manage multiple projects within budget and time constraints.
- Effectively communicate project information with involved internal and external stakeholders Interpret and incorporate corporate process safety procedures.
- Identify and specify materials to be used in association with gas construction projects.
- Identify and acquire the necessary permits, licenses, and land rights associated with the project.
- Negotiate and manage commercial contracts with third parties and suppliers.
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited college or university required Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam with Engineer in Training (EIT) certification preferred.
- 2+ years of engineering or project management experience required Valid driver's license required.
Salary - $106,000 - $125,000
This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
