    Summary

The Customer Service Repair Technician is responsible for coordinating repair processes including documentation, troubleshooting, repairing, delivery, and providing feedback to improve quality of the products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitors and tracks the repair status of inoperative equipment and documents maintenance activities

  • Applies fundamental troubleshooting procedures and failure analysis

  • Interprets mechanical, electrical drawings and schematics.

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical components

  • Test and verify components after repairs have been performed

  • Document the repair performed and materials used

  • Complete and close repair tickets

  • Provide root cause analysis of failures to Engineering

  • Estimate repair times based on the component failure

  • Maintain an orderly and organized repair area

  • Must be skilled at use and operation of test equipment, frequency counters, volt/ohm meters and range calibration sets to perform troubleshooting and testing

    Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • Must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience.

  • Technical certification in electronics or electronics repair

  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Suite applications

  • Must have strong mechanical and electrical abilities and be proficient in reading and understanding blueprints and work instructions

  • Must have work history with mechanical and electrical assemblies

  • Must be skilled at use and operation of test equipment, frequency counters, volt/ohm meters and range calibration sets to perform troubleshooting and testing

  • Must be proficient with hand tools and measuring equipment

  • Must have ability to perform in and contribute to a team environment with excellent interpersonal skills

  • Prior experience as an electronics, test, or repair technician

  • Excellent technical, problem solving and analytical skills

  • Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude

  • Ability to explain complex, technical issues to non-technical employees

  • Ability to read technical drawings and schematics

  • Proficiency with hand and power tools

  • Due to US Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

    Preferred Skills

  • Associate degree in a technical field is preferred

  • Prior experience with soldering (IPC-610/620 preferred)

    Security Responsibilities

Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures.  Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval.  All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

  • Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

    Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

    Work Environment

This job operates in a production environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, along with typical hand tools, electrical tools, test equipment, and ESD mats.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Must be able to lift and or carry up to 20lbs.
