Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Bookkeeper to join our team in Bronx, New York. In this role, you will manage our company's financial records, ensuring that our daily accounting functions run smoothly and effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the management of financial records including sales, purchases, income, receipts, and payments.

• Execute daily updates of financial records, including transactions and expenditures.

• Verify the accuracy of financial documents and journal entries.

• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable operations.

• Conduct reconciliations of bank and statement accounts.

• Keep track of business costs including labor and material.

• Monitor financial transactions and reports and take appropriate action.

• Process tax payments and check invoices for any inaccuracies.

• Carry out monthly and quarterly account reconciliations.

• Assist in financial audits and analyze transactions with internal and external stakeholders.

• Adhere to financial policies and regulations. Requirements • Must possess a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

• Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably within the same industry.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks is essential.

• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and procedures.

• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.

• Ability to prepare financial reports and statements.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

• Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
