DescriptionPosition Summary:This person will be responsible for cleaning and making simple repairs. Ensuring that it is a safe, healthy and sanitary environment for children, staff and visitors. Duties and Responsibilities:Sweep, Mop and dispose of garbage dailyClean vents, windows, surfaces and ledges weeklyMonitor the facility for safety issuesReport plumbing issues, leaks, etc. to the program supervisor immediatelyPlace custodial supply ordersAttend all relevant staff meetings and training activitiesCommunicate with all staff, parents, children and members of community in a polite and respectful manner so as to represent the program in a professional wayPerform other duties as assigned by the supervisor Qualifications:The candidate must have experience with cleaning facilities and general repairsA High School Diploma or GED is preferred.This is a Part Time Position working Mon. - Fri., 2:00pm to 7:00pm WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
