Actalent Electrical Engineer in Brookfield, Wisconsin

✨We are currently looking for an electrical engineer to work on new products, working on hardware, PCB and circuit design for a client of ours that focuses on

residential and commercial water solutions to industrial water management.✨

Work Environment :

This role offers a flexible work environment with the option to work remotely for an average of two days per week. The rest of the week will be spent on-site in Brookfield, Wisconsin. You will be reporting to the Engineering Manager and will be part of a team that values collaboration and on-time product launches. This position requires adherence to strict budgetary controls and timelines.

Daily Duties :

  • Assist in the development during the full product life cycle.

  • Help support and maintain existing products as they are developed

  • Independently drive solutions to completion

  • Connect with and coordinate with engineers in multiple sites

  • Ensure these projects follow the appropriate standard process used (such as 3D and agile).

  • Develop functional block diagram for hardware design risk assessment

  • Hardware design & manage PCBA build

  • Circuit design, simulation and analysis

  • Circuit and product risk assessment (P Diagram, FMEA)

  • Develop BOM, product costing and manage PCBA build

  • Product development, validation, regulatory and production planning

  • Develop project plan for system development

  • Create validation plan for device and lead risk assessment for manufacturing

  • Review product assembly flow plan for controls and containment

  • Support product approval for production

  • Collaborate with other functions such as sourcing, operations, customer support, etc. to ensure on-time product launches as well as post-launch support.

  • Execute project to established timeline with tight budgetary controls

    This position requires recent experience working in Altium.

Other Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering

  • Professional experience in hardware circuit design & development.

  • Altium experience

  • Internship or professional experience in schematic capture, simulation, pcb stack and layout build.
