Salary Range:

Assistant Transit Management Analyst I: $65,954 - $78,079 (TA)

Assistant Transit Management Analyst II: $76,577 - $85,288 (TA)

Associate Transit Management Analyst: $86,565 - $112,083 (TA)

Responsibilities :

This position is responsible for assisting project management duties for multiple multi-million-dollar Capital and Operating projects. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to administration of Capital project and service contracts utilized by Elevators & Escalators, creation of work scopes and estimates, daily management of many contracts, monitoring Contractor’s performance of assignments and activities, review, and approval of invoices for payment, ordering and tracking parts and materials available and received, post-award contract modifications and change orders. The incumbent will closely work with procurement and resolving any complications which may arise in a timely manner. The incumbent will be responsible for material inventory, forecasting and ordering materials and prepare reports, analyses, and coordinate responses to any internal and external stakeholders.

Education and Experience :

Assistant Transit Management Analyst I and II:

  1. A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and one year of satisfactory full-time professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports; or

  2. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed in "1" above; and two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience as described in "1" above.

    Associate Transit Management Analyst:

  3. A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and two years of full-time satisfactory professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports. One year of experience must have been in the transportation industry; or

  4. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed in "1" above; and three years of full-time satisfactory experience as described in "1" above. One year of this experience must have been in the transportation industry.

    Desired Skills :

    • An Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering background is preferred.

    • Excellent organizational skills, oral and written communication skills.

    • Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

    • Excellent decision-making skills.

    • Basic understanding of elevator systems and escalator systems.

    Selection Method :

    Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.

    All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
